Hello, owners of the best internet in the galaxy!
We are getting back to you with the first production update. Here is what we've been doing during the last month!

LANGUAGE VERSIONS

The work on the German, Spanish, and French translations is approaching its final stage. This means we will soon design all these language versions and instantly upload the files to our website. We will keep you updated about it here.

THE GOLDEN SAMPLE

All around the net, you could see beautiful copies of Cosmic Chains prototypes. They were produced by the same manufacturer that is working on the whole printing and are very close to the final look of the game. Still, we had a bunch of corrections and shared all of them with the partners quite a while ago. The tray has been improved, the color inconsistency of the card icons has been fixed, and the rulebook has been edited, too. However, since the overall quality of the components has mostly stayed the same, we came to the conclusion, together with the manufacturer, that we should check only the tray physically to optimize the timeline. It is on its way to us from China. Once we get it, we will let the manufacturer know whether everything is fine, and the whole printing will be finished. Of course, before sending the games to you, we will ask for the video with the entire unpacking and double-check that everything is perfect.

As we wrote earlier, we now must be patient as the production pipeline is time-consuming. Many notable companies are waiting with us for their games to be printed.

PLEDGE MANAGER PAYMENTS

If, for some reason, you still have not received your survey with the address confirmation from us, please check your spam folder and reach out to us. WE WON'T BE ABLE TO DELIVER the game to those who have not confirmed their address and paid for the delivery. Now is the moment to fix that! We are here for you and always happy to help.

We are locking your orders this week!

This week, we are locking your orders. It is time to finalize your pledges and pay for the shipping. We've been sending reminders to you for almost two months, but if you haven't seen any emails or don't have access to the email chosen for logging in on Kickstarter, please let us know here in the DM or via [email protected] ✨

LOCKING ORDERS...?

Oh, yes. Locking means we will charge your cards for shipping (please make sure you have enough funds on the provided account) and export all the addresses for sharing with the logistics company. We are doing this in advance because all these processes are time-consuming. But if you need to change your address later, we can still do it for you up until two weeks before the deliveries start.

Also, we have to note that we won't be able to deliver the package without full information about shipping or successfully processed payments for shipping. Don't worry; if the first transaction is unsuccessful, we will try to charge the cards several times.

ABOUT PRODUCTION

We are confirming the final quantities with the manufacturer, and they will start production in August. It means we are meeting the deadline so far, and you can expect to get your Cosmic Chains boxes starting in October. Of course, we will announce the beginning of shipping and share all the info in case of any delays.

The manufacturer has already shared the final files with us, and we are really happy with the results. Now, we are signing the contract, and hopefully, the golden sample will be sent to us within a month. Fingers crossed 🤞

OTHER NEWS

Delivering Cosmic Chains to you is our main priority now, but from now on, this process will be much more dependent on our partners. Our team is ready to confirm that we are working on TWO new projects! You can find some information about them on our Instagram or Discord Community.

Hi from the orbit!
Our team sent all the Cosmic Chains files to the manufacturer last Monday! It means... What does it mean? In this update: our next steps, Siclen universes, and final weeks to confirm your pledges on Backerkit!

FILES ARE ADJUSTED AND SENT

Now, when the files are shared with the manufacturer, the adustments can be made only on their side. For example, together, we are improving the tray. Among the last changes made by us are:
- a leaflet with additional instructions for Kickstarter-exclusive components;
- improved FAQ section in the rulebook and a QR code with the link to our video rules;
- a sticker instead of the sign "+Kickstarter-exclusive content" on the box;
- improved effect text for the card "Shrewd Pew."

NEXT STEPS

Preparation work may take some time, so from here on, we have to be patient until we receive our golden sample copy. Based on it, we will approve the whole print. That will happen at least in two months as the manufacturer is busy with many other games from other awesome publishers. We will keep you updated about the key improvements and stages. So far, everything looks good.

TIME TO CONFIRM YOUR PLEDGES

Most of you have already confirmed your pledges and provided us with your shipping information. Thank you! Still, there are some backers who have not done it yet. You still have time before the end of July! Also, you can add more goods to your pledge. Read more about the pledge manager in the previous update

If you don't provide us with the information or don't pay for the shipping, we won't be able to deliver the game to you (but we really want to 🛰)

SICLEN UNIVERSES

One of the key concepts for our studio is not only making games but also creating entire worlds. This is what we started doing with Cosmic Chains by choosing an engaging theme, writing the game soundtrack, and adding postcards that show the lives of cats and robots. In our newest project, we are bringing it to the next level by creating a whole sci-fi universe with many characters. You can help us shape this world! GREAT! ... WAIT... WHAT IS PLEDGE MANAGER?

Not sure what the pledge manager is? No worries, we've got you covered. The pledge manager is a Kickstarter-trusted third-party platform that collects data about your orders (or, as we call them, pledges) on Kickstarter and helps us collect your shipping data. This information will help the logistics service deliver your copies of Cosmic Chains properly. It's safe and convenient: we chose Backerkit as the interface there looks just like an ordinary online shop, so we are sure you will complete all the steps in several clicks! But if you have any questions, feel free to ask them here in the comments, in Kickstarter DM, via [email protected], or on our Discord server (it's super fun there). We are here for you all the way 🤖

GOT IT! ... WAIT... HOW CAN I GET ACCESS TO IT?

In the upcoming days or hours, you will receive an email from Backerkit, requesting you to do several things:
1) add or confirm your shipping address (you will be able to change it any time before the production finishes, in case it changes) as well as your personal information;
2) pay for your shipping and VAT (if applicable);
3) confirm your order as it is or add something else to it

Please follow these steps and make sure you complete them. If the shipping data is not received before the pledge manager closes, we won't be able to deliver your copy! That's something that we don't want to happen, so we will definitely send several reminders ✨

OK... WHEN DOES IT CLOSE?

The pledge manager will be closed at the end of July. You will still be able to correct your shipping information if necessary, but your orders will be locked, and your cards will be charged.

BY THE WAY, YOUR ORDERS

In the pledge manager, you can add more copies of the game or some add-ons. We are offering all the content of the campaign (we understand that sometimes it's hard to make a choice right away) 😃

Here are our favorite possible additions to your order:
- A Collection of 6 Postcards: Each of your Cosmic Chains copies contains a single randomly chosen postcard with a Cosmic Chains comic strip about the life of Cats and Blobots in orbit. This add-on includes the full series of postcards + 2 playable Sketchy Dude cards designed in the style of the comic. Moreover, these cards are playable and have the ability to revive your destroyed satellites, which was quite a requested effect!
- "The Champ Of Champs" Metal Coin: Well, first of all, this thing is shiny and can serve as a reward for the winner. In addition, it can help you decide on the first player!

BUT WHAT IF SOMEONE I KNOW MISSED THE CAMPAIGN?

It's still possible to get the game! Just add another copy of Cosmic Chains and additional content to your order in the pledge manager for your friends or any other loved ones, or let them know about the late pledge, which is kind of a last call!

Congrats, internet providers and cat and robot fans! We made it!
Cosmic Chains will be printed—and this was all made possible thanks to your help ⭐️

Moreover, Cosmic Chains is the first public project from our studio as an independent developer and publisher. This role is a big responsibility as well as an enormous and exciting challenge. Even though much work is ahead (pledge manager, production, and fulfilment), we are all ready for it!

And, of course, not only did you help us make the game funded, but you also contributed to building the fundamentals of our community. You helped us become better, and we would be happy to embrace it even further.
