[KICKSTARTER] What is Kickstarter?

Kickstarter is a launchpad for creators to raise funds for the initial production of their invention. Backers (that’s you!) can support the creator by pre-ordering the product at a discounted price.

[KICKSTARTER] What does it mean to back a project (pledge)?

When you back a project, you’re pre-ordering the product. That means you’ll get it once it’s produced. Besides getting the product itself, you’re also joining a community. Follow along the production process, take part in important surveys and give the creator valuable feedback.

[KICKSTARTER] How do I pledge?

In order to pledge, click that green button that says “Back this project”. You’ll get to select your shipping country and choose your desired pledge level and reward. Don’t worry, you will be able to change your shipping address later!

[KICKSTARTER] When is my money collected?

Your money will be collected only after the project ends on MAY 25, 2024. If the project is canceled for any reason, you won’t be charged.

[KICKSTARTER] What payment methods can I use?

You can use any debit or credit card associated with Visa, Mastercard or American Express, as well as Discover and JCB cards. Kickstarter does not accept payments with PayPal.

[KICKSTARTER] When will I get my pre-order?

Cosmic Chains is set to ship in October. Depending on your location, you will receive the game within 4-6 weeks after shipping. Please note that this is an estimate, as you’re pre-ordering the product, and production delays could arise (but we will try our best to make this campaign as hassle-free as possible).

Cosmic Chains is a highly tactical dueling card game that looks like no other card game on the table. It has: - an original theme of providing the best Internet connection to the Earth, - adorable Cat and Robot characters, - three modes for all tastes and higher replayability, - top-class components, and it doesn’t take up much space, so you can take it anywhere with you!

[CAMPAIGN] Why back this campaign and not wait for the retail version?

There are many reasons to support up on Kickstarter: - a lower price for the Deluxe Version, - exclusive components that will not be available anywhere but on Kickstarter (!), - high-quality components like a plastic tray that will not be a part of the retail version, and, most importantly, your personal investment in the future of our tiny board game publisher that, only with your help, can get a chance to stay in the market and continue doing amazing projects!

[ABOUT US] I've never heard of Siclen Studio, actually. Are you a new publisher?

That’s right! Siclen Studio was founded by a group of friends during the pandemic. But, to be honest, we’ve been working in the board game industry for over 4 years now on behalf of different publishers. Now, we are finally ready to become Independent (and hope you will help us with that!)

We are a team of friends and professionals living all over the globe: Argentina, Indonesia, Poland, Serbia, Montenegro, and the USA. We value originality, quality and depth that we add to our projects through the immersion.

[PLEDGE MANAGER] But I don't know what to choose. Can I choose or change my reward (pledge) later?

No problem!

You will be able to add another pledge to your order as well as all the campaign add-ons in the pledge manager (Gamefound). The prices in the pledge manager might be slightly higher, and will be updated based on the data collected during the campaign. Of course, the prices for your already pledged rewards will not be recalculated.

[SHIPPING] Where do you ship?

We ship worldwide! Moreover, shipping services for Cosmic Chains are customs-friendly, which means that we will pay the customs on your behalf so that your package is not stopped at the border. There is Customs-friendly shipping for the US, EU, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.

Though, unfortunately, specific import laws, restrictions, and customs have made it impossible for us to ship Cosmic Chains to certain countries. We do not ship to: Afghanistan, Belarus, Bhutan, Brunei, Chad, Cuba, Laos, Libya, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Solomon Islands, South Sudan, Syria, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, and Yemen.

[SHIPPING] Why I am not charged for shipping?

During the campaign, we do not collect your shipping addresses. Once the campaign is over, we will ask for your mailing address and contact information. You will be able to provide this information through Gamefound—one of the most trust-worthy services to collect the delivery data. We will send the reminder several times.

[SHIPPING] Will I be able to change the address later?

Of course! We will send an email with the address confirmation several times.

Please note that once we lock your address on Gamefound (the platform where you confirm your address), it’s likely that we won’t be able to update it anymore because the fulfillment warehouse will already have processed and shipped your order. In case you make a mistake in your delivery address, and the courier company fails to deliver your order, we can reship your game but will ask you to pay for shipping again. If the mistake is on our end, we’ll reship your game immediately, without any extra charge.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
